Susan Taylor Wall

Susan Taylor Wall began drawing and painting as a child. She and her family lived in Europe and traveled extensively throughout the continent. Her early work included pen and ink drawings and brush painting on rice paper. After college, Susan moved to Charleston and her work became deeply influenced by the natural beauty of beaches, marshes and maritime forests found along America’s southeastern coastline. Her large and mid-scale canvases reflect nature’s dramatic play of light and dark on unspoiled vistas. On small canvases, she captures with simplicity native birds and animals.
